Pre-Vocational Program

Learning Skills to Survive in the Real World

class-teacher2The Pre-Vocational Program provides older students the opportunity to participate in a structured work and pre-vocational atmosphere. We believe in giving students the tools to be able to succeed when they re-enter their families and communities, thus we have developed pre-vocational training to give the students job skills to help them realize their potential and increase their vocational preferences, while evaluating the skills necessary for their career choices. Each day, students are required to fulfill three academic hours in the classroom focusing on math, reading and life skills and then fulfill three full hours of pre-vocational instruction. Some examples of the pre-vocational experiences include on-campus maintenance, housekeeping duties, horse maintenance, kitchen work, and office cleaning.
