Eagleton School is a residential, psycho-educational treatment center for boys and young men with difficult behavioral problems, emotional disturbances, sexual abuse issues, and/or learning disabilities.
Students at Eagleton typically exhibit behaviors such as verbal and physical aggression, difficulty within a School environment, and emotional disturbances; they often have limited conflict resolution skills as well. Many students present themselves with multiple diagnoses. The Eagleton approach to treatment is unique: the Educational, Residential, Clinical, Vocational, and Recreational Programs interact to provide meaningful experiences which enable students to access a purposeful place in society. Utilizing a team approach, the staff members’ responsibilities are to support and develop each student's potential to eventually reintegrate successfully into their family and community.
It is our belief that troubled adolescents learn best through experiences that lead to self-discovery and personal reward. The Eagleton School staff of educators, therapists, physicians, and child-care workers provides a constant resource that each child and family can interact with and trust.
Our staff surrounds each child and family with an ever-present and positive frame of reference and reinforcement. Our low resident-to-staff ratio assures boys who come to Eagleton School a dynamic personal growth relationship with our educational, residential, clinical, and medical staff, all within the context of family.
By steadily enriching each boy’s emotional, creative, and intellectual perspectives, we work to change or modify socially unacceptable behavior and refocus thinking toward the fundamentals required by society. Thus we give students the controls and the ability to make good decisions necessary to return to their community.
