Family Support Programming
Eagleton School sees the support of the families of children in its care as an integral part of the development and progress of the student. Eagleton provides for family and resource visits both on and off campus, frequent communication with the family’s designated individuals, conference telephone calls, and conferences with staff. Eagleton School staff actively participates in yearly Individual Education Plans and quarterly Individualized Service Plan meetings with families, GAL’s, educational advocates, school districts, and social service agencies.
Students are encouraged to make frequent phone calls to their families/designated support individuals which are funded by Eagleton School. We also have a visitation policy which supports and encourages designated family members and community supports to visit Eagleton with prior notice to the child’s treatment team. Students who demonstrate safe behavior may have home or off-campus visits with agency/team approval (clinical and administrative) at the convenience of the family or designated support individuals. Many residents’ families visit each week. Eagleton School provides financial support for frequent telephone communication, home visits, and family visits to the school.
